VISITS TO CAVES
RESERVATION IS NECESSARY TO VISIT THE SHELTERS
You must bring good shoes and some water. It's very hot in the ravine in summer. If it rains or if there is an alarm due to high temperatures, the visit can be suspended.

Duration: 3 hours / Difficulty: moderate.

Cova Remígia.
Duration: 3 hours / Difficulty: moderate. Visitors are advised to wear suitable footwear and bring water. It is necessary to climb the path for about 40 minuts.

Visits must be booked in advance.
Visits to Valltorta Museum and visits to caves departing from the museum are free of charge.
To ensure the best possible experience, visits for schoolchildren and groups of more than 20 people must be booked in advance.

From Valencia or Castellón
Take the A7 to Cabanes. Continue along the CV-10 towards Sant Mateu, as far as the CV-131, towards Tírig. The museum is one kilometre before the town..
From Barcelona
Take the AP7 to the Vinaròs exit. Continue along the N-238 to Vinaròs and then take the N-232 towards Morella, as far as Xert. Then take the CV-132 to Sant Mateu and the CV-130 to Tírig.

USEFUL INFORMATION
The Valltorta caves open to the public are in mountainous areas not always easy to reach. Visitors should wear comfortable clothes suitable for the weather and footwear for mountain walking, and take sun protection, a hat and water.
The museum is in the countryside more than one kilometre from Tírig, so visitors should take water and food. There is a coffee machine and a beverage machine at the museum.
In Tírig there is a restaurant serving meals and a bar. Visitors willing to travel further afield can go to other towns not far from the museum: Sant Mateu, Albocàsser, Catí, La Salzadella and Les Coves de Vinromà.

REGULATIONS
Numbers of visitors are limited and visits to caves should be booked in advance.
The caves are situated in natural settings of great cultural, scenic and ecological value that may be dangerous at time so visitors must always follow wardens' instructions. Failure to do so is the sole responsibility of the offenders.
Only enclosed, suitably prepared caves are open to the public, always with wardens present. Caves can only be visited with a guide.
Touching or wetting the paintings is strictly forbidden.
Visitors may not stray beyond the paths or leave any litter. Smoking is prohibited in caves.
Pets are allowed in the caves providing they are on a lead and kept under control by their owners. Owners are responsible for their pets' behaviour and must collect any waste they leave.
